Gymnastics makes national television appearances in 2022


EAST LANSING, Michigan. – Michigan State Gymnastics will appear on ESPN networks in the upcoming 2022 season, in addition to the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships airing on ESPN2 and ABC, the league said Thursday.

The Spartans make their first televised appearance when they meet reigning national champion Michigan on Jan.30. The encounter will be broadcast live on ESPNU at 2 p.m. with a streaming option on ESPN +.

On February 13, the Green & White hosted Illinois for a double meet at 4 p.m., broadcast on the Big Ten Network. All other MSU meetings will be available to stream on BTN +.

Playoff competition begins with the Big Ten Championships on March 18 in Iowa City, Iowa. The NCAA Regional Championships will be hosted on various regional sites and the matches will be broadcast on ESPN3 / ESPN +. The April 14 semi-finals will be available on ESPN2 and the finals will air on ABC in prime time on April 16.

The Spartans kick off their season this Saturday at 1 p.m. with Meet the Spartans, a showcase event where fans can interact with the team and preview upcoming routines. The team’s Green and White intra-team meeting is on December 11 at 1 p.m.
