Michigan City Lawsuit Ends In Crash With Injury, Police Say | Crime and courts
MICHIGAN CITY – Indiana State Police are investigating after a Michigan City chase resulted in an accident resulting in injuries Friday afternoon.
At 3:15 p.m., patrol officers set off in a vehicle chase in Michigan City, said Sgt. Steve Forker.
The chase ended in an accident at 10th Street and Pine Street, injuring several people.
LaPorte County EMS and the Michigan City Fire Department immediately transported the crash victims to Franciscan Health Michigan City. The incident that triggered the crash and the number of people injured were not disclosed by police.
Forker said that “additional information regarding this incident will not be disclosed at this time in order to protect the integrity of this ongoing investigation.”
Michigan City Police Chief Dion Campbell has called on Indiana State Police to investigate the crash.
